Elevating Discarded: From Scraps to a Fully-Realised VOD Film
With only a handful of old Instagram visuals, a half-finished brand book, and some legacy assets, I rebuilt Discarded’s “Waste is Beautiful” campaign into a premium VOD piece.
By reconstructing the brand’s visual language, converting static imagery into dynamic animated backgrounds, and recreating the hero bottles as high-end 3D assets.
To complete the film, I crafted a subtle Scottish VO and sound design that reinforced the brand’s tone.
A fast turnaround project that demonstrates my ability to elevate limited assets into polished, broadcast-quality motion content.
Asset creation
Like many of my projects, I rarely rely solely on what I’m given. Using design tools and a bit of creative problem-solving, I rebuilt the bottle’s label and icons, crafted a high-quality 3D model, and produced an almost flawless hero render, flexible, polished, and ready for any social campaign.
To support the bottle renders, I used Adobe Firefly to regenerate accurate cocktail visuals for each product variant. This allowed me to create consistent glassware and drink textures that paired naturally with the 3D hero assets.
